[At least she wasn’t yelling anymore. Something about her attitude kind of ticked him off, but he ground his fangs together, not exactly wanting to answer that whole “what even are you” question. He hadn’t exactly told anyone here that he was a demon, just yet. A lot of the people here weren’t human, so he supposed it was a little less weird than living in a realm full of humans only. With a sigh, he rubbed his temples, deciding to be courteous and answer her second question, leaning his weight on one foot.]

This is Arcadios, you were dragged here by some Goddess named Sophia.

And for your information, I’m not an elf. Just a regular demon. ‘S hard to explain.

[Yeah. “Regular”. Regular as in the spawn of the king of them all. Not that she had to know. As long as he kept it vague, he guessed it didn’t really matter. Something about her voice just sort of sounded like she was looking down on him, but he attempted not to come off as too stand-offish. After all, he wasn’t here to make enemies! Hopefully she wouldn’t inquire further on his bloodline.]

Oopsie. Looked like she was managing to worm her way into this kid’s skin. Apparently she’d have to play up her nice side if she wanted her questions answered. This guy acted nothing like her master, but he was still putting up with her. That may be something worth respecting.

“A Goddess, huh?” Aqua echoed with a tiny click of her tongue. Sophia was no goddess she’s ever heard of. Did the world split in two again while she was sleeping? These gods were such fickle beings.

“What type of business would this Sophia even have with me?” She was a busy Centurion after all! Pretty rude of this goddess to interrupt her while she still had work to do back home.

When he revealed his demonic status to her, she almost burst out laughing. ”You? A demon?” She had come across more menacing turtles than this teenager. But she had to play nice, play nice~ ”Hmph. There must be all kinds now.”

[Wandering Polis sure seemed like the regular daily basis for everyone that lived here. Rin usually came here to buy food to cook, or maybe to meet a few new people. Occasionally, there were times when he came here to help out the people that were new to Arcadios, because he knew how bad it was to try and find your place in a strange new land. This happened to be another one of these days. Days where he literally had nothing else to do except wander the city…

It wasn’t often that he got such a rude encounter as this, though.

He’d felt the brush against his side—he must have zoned out, right? Turning a bit to his side, he opened his mouth to apologize, before he was so rudely interrupted by this little girl…thing…creature. Definitely not human. Those fangs were pretty convincing, too, but he bared his in return, obviously not up for arguing with children.]

Oii, geez, sorry!!

[No need to get your panties in a twist, girl. The demon turned all the way towards her—despite his harsh words, there was no malice behind them. He was too much of a softie to actually yell at some kid, but hell if he wouldn’t scold. Rin had learned long ago that if you were a brat to everyone, no one would want to be around you, and you would grow up alone.]

What a weird kid. He wasn’t intimidated by her at all. Were all humans like this or was it simply that Emil was easy to scare? She really hadn’t had much recent experience with people at all other than her master and two other brats.

“Tch. Whatever.”

She huffed, not really wanting to argue the point for long. At least she got an apology, as insincere as that sounded. Not to mention, she wasn’t too sure what to think of this kid’s fangs as well. Humans normally didn’t have those, right? What sort of monster world did she wake up in?

“…What’s up with you anyway? You don’t look like any human or half-elf I’ve ever seen.”

In a fine act of indecisiveness, she decided to continue before even allowing him a chance to respond. It didn’t matter what he was, in the end. She had questions and he was conveniently here to answer them.

“Since you’re here, boy, do me a favour. Tell me, where is this?”
